The benefits of taking advanced sailing courses

Even seasoned sailors know: the sea is always teaching. If you love sailing and want to be ready for whatever the wind brings, advanced ASA courses are the next logical step. They challenge you in all the right ways, deepen your seamanship, and leave you feeling confident, capable, and excited for what’s next. You’ll emerge from your advanced sailing course not just as someone who sails, but as someone who confidently commands a boat. That’s a major leap forward, and one that opens up an entire world of adventure.

Group ASA courses vs private ASA courses for advanced sailors

Go Sail Bahamas offers advanced ASA sailing courses in two exciting formats: group courses and private charters, so you can choose the style that best fits your crew and comfort.

Our group sailing courses are perfect for solo sailors and sailing couples who want to join other passionate adventurers. You’ll enjoy your own private cabin with an en-suite head and an unforgettable week of sailing with new friends! This option is open to ages 18+.

Private sailing courses let you book out the entire yacht with up to six guests—no age restrictions and no certification pressure for your crew. It’s the perfect way to earn your advanced ASA certifications while cruising with friends or family who may want to learn with you— or opt to just relax and enjoy the ride! Private sailing courses also allow some members to take Series 2 advanced courses while others on board work on their Series 1 beginner courses!
